Since the first St Agnes’ Catholic Church was built in 1878, the Parish has played an essential role in caring for, guiding and growing, the local community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptionally enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Trainee to join our existing team at St Joseph’s Family Services.

The position will be offered as a Full-Time Traineeship, completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, whilst earning a wage and being mentored by a dedicated team of professional educators.

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to foster your passion for children and education, working with guidance of other educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment for the children in your care. You will possess a genuine desire to care and develop children, providing high quality care and education in partnership with the Service Manager, staff team, families and the broader community of St Joseph’s Family Services (SJFS).

WHO YOU ARE

  • Commitment and willingness to study Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
  • You are committed to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
  • NSW Working with Children Check clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and families
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Willingness and commitment to providing quality early education and care
  • Be prepared to work between 7.00am – 6:00pm
