Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Building and Construction Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for a Carpentry Apprentice in Kempsey NSW!

About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist qualified carpenters with the construction, installation, and dismantling of formwork, as well as the maintenance and repair of building structures and frameworks.
  • Learn and apply carpentry and formwork techniques while working on a variety of residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures while using tools, equipment, and materials safely on active construction sites.
  • Participate in both on-the-job training and formal study to develop the practical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Carpenter.

What we're looking for - Skills & Experience

  • Must have a current Drivers Licence and Own Vehicle
  • Open to first-year applicants as well as current carpentry apprentices looking to continue or progress their apprenticeship.
  • A genuine interest in carpentry and the construction industry.
  • Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
