Water Operations Traineeship

About the Opportunity

Working on projects and tasks that matter to our community, your traineeship will include working on:

  • Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants
  • Pump Station Maintenance
  • Wastewater Manhole Inspections
  • Civil Pipe Laying and Construction
  • Dam Catchment Surveillance

This is a full time role for up to 2 years working primarily in the water, wastewater and construction areas of Council, working with diversely skilled tradespeople across Council.

What we are looking for individuals who are:

  • Willing to work and learn on the job
  • Genuinely interested in up keeping grounds and plants
  • Eager to learn and ask questions and self-motivated
  • Great team members with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Focused on working safely, both for yourself and others.
  • Able to commit to study requirements and completion of all training in a timely and organised manner.
  • Hold a current Drivers License (Red P's or more)
  • Able to comply with uniform and PPE requirements ? even at TAFE.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment type: Full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)

Weekly starting salary $439 to $809 (depending on your highest year of schooling completed and number years since you finished school).

You must be an Australian/NZ citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident; no visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
