Early Education and Care Traineeship
We have a full-time position at our centre in Port Macquarie www.portmacquariechildcare.com
This entry-level traineeship opportunity is for a period of up to 18 months with the option for early
completion should you be taking on this role as a gap year after completing your studies.
The successful candidate will gain experience and attain their Certificate III Early Education and
Care via TAFE whilst working with Centre Educators to provide a safe, stimulating environment
for all children. You will work alongside experienced professionals who will teach and guide you
in all aspects of centre based early education and care.

6 months* (*government application eligibility applies).
A genuine commitment to study and great verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
are a must.
We are looking for applicants who are:
• At least 18 years of age
• Fulfilled NESA Minimum Standards for Literacy and Numeracy – Level 3 and/or have a
ROSA year 10 or higher
• Working With Children Check Clearance
• Have not previously completed a Certificate 3 or Diploma in any discipline (a Cert 2 in
Early Childhood or other discipline is acceptable)
• Have a genuine demonstrated interest in working with children.
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Demonstrated excellent work ethic
