Romer Locks - Apprentice Locksmith

This position entails serving customers, cutting keys, installing locks, key up locks, selling and installing safes, restricted systems, automotive key cutting, lockouts and much more.

Must have:

• A friendly disposition, willingness to meet customer needs and expectations
• Eagerness to learn and have the ability to work unsupervised
• Be able to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
• Problem solving ability and work with urgency
• Experience with general computer use
• Polite and helpful telephone manner
• A trustworthy nature and the ability to keep information extremely private
• A current drivers license
• Either have or be willing to have the Current Covid-19 vaccination and regular flu shots as it is a requirement placed on us to attend certain sites to perform work
• No criminal record (a police check will be required)

Beneficial but not essential if candidate has experience with:

• Power hand tools, working with wood or metal
• Hardware or building
• Computer programs such as MYOB, Word and Outlook
• A general understanding of makes and models of cars
• OH&S training and white card

The successful candidate for the apprenticeship must be willing and able to work on after hours emergency work on a rotational basis and be able to travel to Sydney for block release TAFE training.
