About the Opportunity

PMHC are excited to be recruiting for our 2023 Traineeship program. We have the opportunity for a two-year traineeship combined with studying for a Certificate III Horticulture.

Working in our public open spaces to maintain them for our community, your traineeship will include:

  • Undertaking mowing maintenance associated with Parks, Reserves, Sports fields, road reserves and cemeteries
  • Beach, tree and garden maintenance.
  • Ground maintenance activities associated with Open Spaces
  • Maintenance of recreational assets and infrastructure
  • Identifying and treating pests, diseases and weeds that impact on plant/ turf health
  • Collection of litter from Open spaces
  • Minor construction works

This is a full time role for up to 2 years working primarily in the parks and gardens areas of Council, working with diversely skilled tradespeople across Council.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary (up to 2 years), 38 hours per week
  • Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $347.10-$706 (depending on your highest year of schooling completed and number years since you finished school).
