About the Opportunity
PMHC are excited to be recruiting for our 2023 Traineeship program. We have the opportunity for a two-year traineeship combined with studying for a Certificate III Horticulture.
Working in our public open spaces to maintain them for our community, your traineeship will include:
- Undertaking mowing maintenance associated with Parks, Reserves, Sports fields, road reserves and cemeteries
- Beach, tree and garden maintenance.
- Ground maintenance activities associated with Open Spaces
- Maintenance of recreational assets and infrastructure
- Identifying and treating pests, diseases and weeds that impact on plant/ turf health
- Collection of litter from Open spaces
- Minor construction works
This is a full time role for up to 2 years working primarily in the parks and gardens areas of Council, working with diversely skilled tradespeople across Council.

Remuneration and Benefits
- Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary (up to 2 years), 38 hours per week
- Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $347.10-$706 (depending on your highest year of schooling completed and number years since you finished school).
